West Australian Attorney-General John Quigley was pleased to announce the appointment of Trevor Darge as a magistrate to the Magistrates Court of Western Australia.

Mr Darge has assumed his position as a metropolitan magistrate effective from 28 May 2018.

Speaking about the appointment, Mr Quigley said Mr Darge brought more than 28 years of experience to his new role and is “well-versed” in the management of a large numbers of cases in challenging, high-pressure conditions.

“Mr Darge has prepared a general guide for litigants in the Magistrates Court, addressed article clerks at the Articles Training Program and has been a contributor to Kidd and Darge’s Traffic Law Reporter for several years,” the Attorney-General said.

“I congratulate [him] on his appointment and wish him well in his new role.”
