McInnes makes principal appointment

McInnes Wilson Lawyers has appointed Andrew Mewing as a construction and infrastructure principal.

Paul Tully, practice chairman, announced the appointment on 18 January.

Mewing has been practising in the area of construction and infrastructure law since 2008. Prior to joining McInnes Wilson, he spent more than three years as the corporate counsel at Sedgman Limited, an ASX-listed mining services company that provides multi-disciplinary engineering, project delivery and operations services globally, with capability across coal, iron ore, copper, gold, lead and other base metals, as well as infrastructure.

Mewing has worked on both front-end transactional and disputed matters concerning the engineering, procurement, construction and operation of major projects across Australia and internationally.

“Andrew’s appointment is a strategic hire for our growing firm and will bring strength and knowledge to our client’s construction and infrastructure needs,” said Tully.
