A Queensland law firm has announced the promotion of two senior legal practitioners to its partnership.

QUEENSLAND law firm HopgoodGanim Lawyers has announced the promotion of two senior legal practitioners to its partnership.

The two new partners, Paul Betros and Liam Prescott, both work within the firm’s litigation and dispute resolution practice.

Betros, currently a special counsel, is a specialist in commercial litigation in a practice that focuses primarily on insolvency law.

Prescott is currently a senior associate and specialises in complex commercial disputes in the financial services, banking, mining and energy sectors.

According to HopgoodGanim’s managing partner, Bruce Humphrys, the promotions reward the practitioners for their technical excellence.

“HopgoodGanim prides itself on consistently delivering high standards of legal advice and client service.”

The two new partnerships will come into effect on 1 January 2010 and will take the firm’s partnership tally to 25 at that time.

Hopgood Ganim hit the headlines this month when one of its founding partners, Joe Ganim, announced his retirement.
