A Queensland-based law firm has announced two senior appointments to its practice.

Construction and infrastructure specialist Sean Henderson joins Cooper Grace Ward as a partner, leaving Corrs Chambers Westgarth where he was senior associate.

Henderson has advised clients on many major construction and infrastructure projects in Australia and the UK, his new employer said in a statement.

He has acted for financiers, government, contractors and developers on projects in a variety of sectors including health, education, energy and resources, transport, teleco and property.

Henderson has experience with a range of issues and procurement processes and structures in both the public and private sectors, including extensive experience on PFI/PPP projects since 1997, the firm said.

Henderson worked on the Brisbane Airport Link Toll Road Project, the South East Queensland Water Industry Restructure, the Northern Link Tunnel Project, the Gold Coast Rapid Transit Project, water, LNG and coal infrastructure projects in Queensland, and the office building and commercial developments at 400 George Street and Green Square in Brisbane.

Cooper Grace Ward also welcomes Accredited Family Law Specialist Genevieve Dee as an associate in its family law team. She moves across from Carne Reidy Herd Lawyers, a Brisbane firm.

Dee was awarded the Women Lawyers Association of Queensland Emergent Lawyer of the Year Award in 2009.

Dee has experience in all aspects of family law, including parenting and property matters, financial and relationship agreements, spousal maintenance and child support issues.

Genevieve is also a member of the Law Council of Australia’s Family Law Section, and the Queensland Family Law Practitioners Association. She also contributes as a volunteer solicitor at the Women's Legal Service.
