Sydney firm Landerer & Company has recruited a partner from Lander & Rogers to its planning and environment practice.
Alice Spizzo (pictured) has accepted the role of Director of Planning and Environment after three-and-a-half years as a planning and property partner at Lander & Rogers. Prior to that, she was a partner at Herbert Geer for four-and-a-half years.

Spizzo has 25 years’ experience in the property, planning and government sectors. She is also the chairperson of Women’s Housing Company, a not-for-profit housing association for single women on limited income, and a director of the University of Sydney’s Planning Research Centre Advisory Council.
Commenting on her appointment, Spizzo said she was “keen to build Landerer’s planning team”.
Landerer & Company gained and then lost another planning lawyer earlier this year. Former federal minister Gary Punch joined the firm as a special counsel in February. Three months later (8 May) he accepted a position as an executive lawyer in Bartier Perry’s environment and planning group based in Sydney.
The firm also lost property partner Michael Gough in April. Gough defected to Rigby Cooke, the firm he quit in order to join Landerer & Company in 2011.
Landerer & Company has 13 directors and a total of 40 staff.
