NRF partner hires from coast to coast

Norton Rose Fulbright has poached a Clayton Utz construction partner in Perth and an employment law specialist in Melbourne.

Norton Rose Fulbright has poached a Clayton Utz construction partner in Perth and an employment law specialist in Melbourne.

Employment lawyer Helene Lee has worked in private practice and in-house, including roles at Corrs Chambers Westgarth, Harmers Workplace Lawyers, Telstra and, most recently, Workforce Advantage.

Lee joins the firm’s employment and labour law practice as a partner in Melbourne.

In Perth, NRF has appointed Adrienne Parker to its construction and major projects partnership.

Parker’s expertise lies in traditional procurement, alliance or public private partnership, and large-scale disputes in the construction, engineering and resources space.

Earlier this year, NRF nabbed Sydney-based insurance partner Ray Giblett from Gadens and energy & resources partner Keira Brennan from Clayton Utz in Brisbane.

Brennan and Parker are among a number of other partners who have left Clutz in 2014.

In June alone the firm lost two more partners: Perth-based energy & resources partner John King and infrastructure partner Angus Foley in Sydney.

Clutz also dropped highly-regarded energy and resources partner Darren Fooks, who resigned from the partnership in April to spearhead Baker & McKenzie’s new Brisbane office; in February, the firm lost Sydney-based banking & finance partner Paul Gatward to HWL Ebsworth.
