The former long-serving head of Minters’ investment and financial services team said the new role presented an opportunity to help expand HDY’s existing investment funds.
Mr Etkind was co-chair of the Investment Funds Committee of the International Bar Association until 2012. He has experience in property, mortgage, cash-management, fixed-interest and infrastructure trusts and hedge funds.
The addition of Mr Etkind follows a string of departures from HDY, with senior associate David Gilham recently becoming the fifth lawyer to depart since May last year.
