THE VICTORIAN Government Solicitor’s Office (VGSO) has announced the appointment of three of its team to the position of Principal Solicitor.

Dianna Gleeson is a lawyer in the VGSO’s litigation branch. She has a wide advisory and litigation practice across the Victorian and Federal jurisdictions, with clients including the Victoria police, court officials, the Attorney-General and Land Victoria. Her previous experience includes working in litigation at Allens Arthur Robinson.

A lawyer in the VGSO’s administrative branch, Joanne Kummrow’s expertise includes administrative law, freedom of information, disciplinary matters, public interest law, human rights and general Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal reviews. Before joining VGSO she was a research solicitor at the Law Institute of Victoria.

Belinda Trevean is a member of the VGSO’s litigation team. She advises many state government agencies, including Victoria Police, the Department of Human Services and the Attorney-General’s Office on a range of civil litigation matters. Prior to joining the VGSO she worked as a judge’s associate.

Meanwhile, Sally Robertson and Natalie Blok have been promoted to the position of senior solicitor.
