Corrs Chambers Westgarth has appointed two special counsel, Estelle Blewett and Scott Nalder, to its Perth office. Senior associate Brian Fisher has also joined the firm’s Brisbane office.

Blewett joins Corrs from Deacons, where she was previously a partner, and more recently special counsel. She has over 21 years experience in general commercial litigation and has been involved in a wide range of commercial litigious matters in the superior courts.

Also a special counsel in Perth, Nalder joins the firm after working in his consultancy practice, where he specialised in insolvency, construction and superior court litigation. He had been a litigation consultant with Gadens Lawyers for three years. Prior to that he worked in-house with PPB for three years.

Fisher is a specialist property and commercial lawyer with over 21 years experience, including partnership at McKays Solicitors in Brisbane and Mackay. He has acted in many of Queensland’s major property developments over the last 20 years, and was responsible for the maintenance of employee housing schemes in Queensland for BHP Coal from 1999 to 2005. He was also an attorney for BHP Coal during that time.
