New president Grant served as a magistrate since 1988, as Deputy Chief Magistrate since 2003 and as Supervising Magistrate for Koori Courts since 2004. He was also a member of the Metropolitan Regional Aboriginal Justice Advisory Committee, Health Services for Abused Victorian Children Advisory Group, the Victorian Child Death Review Committee, and the former steering committee for the establishment of Aboriginal community justice panels. Grant’ five-year term as head of the Children’s Court starts on 1 May.

Hedy Warren has joined Holding Redlich as a special counsel in the firm’s superannuation and financial services practice. Warren has 15 years experience in fund management and superannuation gained at Deacons where her most recent position was special counsel. At Holding Redlich her clients comprise major industry superannuation funds.
