International law firm Coudert Brothers has promoted two lawyers in its Sydney office, appointing them senior associates. Property lawyer Michelle Graham joined the firm in 2003, and specialises in property transactions, advising clients on issues including community title structuring, drafting complex titling and structuring documentation. Tim Herbert, who joined Coudert Brothers in November last year, is a commercial litigator and has acted for a diverse range of clients both in Australia and the UK.

George Livanes has been appointed partner in Piper Alderman’s property, infrastructure, environment and development division based in the Sydney office. He has particular experience in the areas of sales and acquisitions (including due diligence), leasing (commercial, retail, industrial), development (including joint ventures), restructuring and hotels. Livanes was previously a partner at Clayton Utz.

TressCox has appointed three partners, one special counsel and two senior associates. Melbourne partner Jason Newman has more than nine years experience in representing insurance clients and defendants’ interests in product, professional and public liability. Sydney partner Natalie Meadows has more than eight years experience in medical negligence litigation acting for doctors, hospitals, medical diagnostic companies and allied health professionals. Michael Wade, also a Sydney partner, has more than 10 years experience working in health law, and has extensive experience in disciplinary proceedings involving medical practitioners, nurses and veterinary surgeons. Special counsel Matt Duffy provides advice in the fields of entertainment and media, intellectual property, information technology and related disciplines. New senior associates Rina Sheftalovich and Nicola Barnett practice in the litigation division.
