Middletons has added a workplace relations team, headed by new partner Damian Sloan and senior lawyer Kristine Thomas, to its Sydney office. The appointments are an expansion of Middletons’ existing Sydney-based workplace relations team. Sloan, an accredited specialist in employment and industrial law, is a former workplace relations partner and head of practice at both Ebsworth & Ebsworth and Holding Redlich. Thomas was with Mallesons Stephen Jaques for four years and also spent a short time at Ebsworth& Ebsworth.

Minter EllisonRudd Watts partner, Graham Mouat, has relocated to Minter Ellison’s Brisbane office. A banking and finance specialist, Mouat has worked with both offshore financial institutions and New Zealand companies and financial institutions. A former corporate counsel for Standard Chartered Bank (project finance division) and Barclays Bank (leasing division) in South Africa, Mouat also worked for a major law firm in Hong Kong before moving to New Zealand in 1989.

Gadens Lawyers has strengthened its workplace relations practice with the appointment of Mark Sant as a partner at its Sydney office. Sant is a former partner of Clayton Utz where he spent more than three years in the national workplace relations group.
