G+T managing partner Danny Gilbert welcomed the new Ms Cheng to the partnership and said that she would enhance the firm’s offering to the in-bound Chinese market.

“I am delighted to welcome Sophie to the firm,” Mr Gilbert said.

“She is unquestionably one of the go-to lawyers in Australia for inbound M&A work out of China, and she will further strengthen our position as a leading corporate practice in Australia.”

Ms Chen is a native Mandarin speaker and also fluent in English. She has obtained law degrees from both the China University of Political Science and Law and the University of New South Wales.
