The new promotions will, the firm noted, strengthen the following practice groups: competition and regulation, corporate, technology and digital, banking and infrastructure, litigation, environment, and employment.

The newly promoted partners are Jennifer Barron, Alastair Corrigall, Ben Fuller, Christiana McCudden, Andrew Hii and Robert Trowbridge.

The seventh new partner is Caryn Sandler, who was previously the firm’s chief knowledge and innovation officer.

The new special counsel are Louise Klamka, Adelina Widjaja and Genevieve Rahman (competition and regulation), Louise McCoach and Spiro Papadolias (banking and infrastructure) and James Pomeroy (employment).

Gilbert + Tobin managing partner and co-founder Danny Gilbert said the appointments were indicative of the firm’s future growth ambitions and its confidence in attracting and development the best talent in the legal market.

“I am proud of the talented and dedicated team we have built, which includes this group of leading lawyers,” he said.

“These promotions are a recognition of the big contribution they continue to make to the firm and their individual ability to deliver outstanding results for our clients.”

“I am also thrilled to see our focus on supporting women at senior levels of our organisation reflected strongly in this group of promotions and I have no doubt they will all play an integral role in the future success of the firm as we consolidate our market-leading position in key sectors and boost our capability in growing specialist practice areas,” he concluded.
