Allens has advised leading private healthcare operator Healthscope Limited (Healthscope) on the sale of its pathology operations in Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam.

Deal: Allens has advised Healthscope on the sale of its Asian pathology operations to funds managed by TPG Capital Asia.

Value: $279 million

Area: Healthcare

Key players: The Allens team was led by corporate partner Emin Altiparmak, who worked alongside managing associates Michelle Bennett and Annabelle Aland, associate Julian Holland and lawyers Joanne Pak and Dougald Coulson.

Deal significance: A leading private healthcare operator, Healthscope’s Asian pathology operations has consisted of 39 pathology laboratories in Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam.

The deal follows Healthscope’s sale of its Australian pathology business in 2015 and Australian medical centres business in 2017.

The sale is expected to be completed by the end of August.
