EQT Partners takes out majority take in Nexon APAC

Baker McKenzie has advised EQT Partners on its acquisition of a majority stake in Nexon Asia Pacific.

Key players: The Baker McKenzie team was led by partner and head of private equity Simon De Young, with assistance from partner Lawrence Mendes, senior associate Eliza Low and associate Daniel Conti.

Deal significance: EQT Partners is a Swedish investment firm, while Nexon Asia Pacific is a cloud and managed service provider, headquartered in Australia.  

The company provides unified communications, cloud, managed security, business solutions and digital workspace services to clients across various sectors in Australia.

This transaction represents a continuation of Baker McKenzie’s relationship with EQT in the Asia-Pacific region and illustrates the strength of the Baker McKenzie team in negotiating and implementing complex transactions.

Prior to joining Momentum Media, Emma worked in breakfast radio, delivering news to the Central West region of NSW, before taking on a radio journalist role at Southern Cross Austereo, based in Townsville, North Queensland.

She holds a Bachelor of Communications (Journalism) degree from Charles Sturt University.
