Area: Energy and resources.

Key players: The Norton Rose Fulbright team was led by banking and finance partner Scott Millar and project finance senior associate Kate Latta.

Deal significance: Under the program, grant funding of $10 million is being provided to Goldwind Australia towards the design, construction and operation of a proposed 84-megawatt gas engine and battery storage project that is subject to approval.

This project is one of four capital projects awarded funding by the NSW government under the NSW Emerging Energy Program. The four projects will receive a combined $37.5 million in funding.

“This proposed project will allow Goldwind Australia to continue to provide reliable and stable electricity to homes across NSW. We are pleased to have been able to support Goldwind Australia in maintaining its position as a [world-leading] energy solutions provider,” Ms Latta commented.

Norton Rose Fulbright also previously advised Goldwind Australia on the development and construction of the co-located wind and solar projects at White Rock and Gullen Range.
