New solution to address lawyers’ CPD woes
An Australian CPD provider has unveiled a new dashboard in response to a growing demand from lawyers seeking alternative ways of completing their necessary requirements.
LawCPD’s new learner dashboard, dubbed MyCPD, works by enabling lawyers to get real-time updates on their CPD compliance. The dashboard also gives users personalised recommendations and rapidly shares a summary of their CPD activities with external stakeholders “as a part of CPD audits conducted by law societies and other regulatory bodies”.

The dashboard has been developed in collaboration with lawyers and eLearning experts, and is set to roll out in mid-March ahead of the CPD deadline on 31 March 2020.
The launch comes following feedback off the back of the COVID-19 pandemic, with demand being driven by more legal professionals working from home and wanting a flexible solution to meet their CPD compliance.
“Since the start of the pandemic, we have seen an increased number of lawyers and law firms switch to an online format for their CPD,” LawCPD co-founder Sarah Mateljan said.
“Our goal has always been to make high quality, interactive CPD training more accessible for all Australian lawyers, and this new platform is a continuation of this goal.”
Ms Mateljan noted the new dashboard is accessible to all new LawCPD account sign-ups. Those lawyers who already have an existing account will be given the option to access the new interface.
“We wanted to make reporting on CPD easier for everyone, and our new dashboard now enables lawyers to share their CPD record with anyone in a few clicks,” Ms Mateljan said.
