In the last 12 years, Clayton Utz said in a statement, he has advised on energy and infrastructure development and acquisitions, particularly development finance. He spent the last three years at KWM, prior to which he was a senior associate at Allen & Overy and a legal counsel at Shell International Trading and Shipping Company.
Speaking about the firm’s newest special counsel, Clayton Utz partner Peter Staciwa said: “We’re thrilled to have Tim on board.
“His experience adds significant weight to our offering to clients in project finance and as they navigate the energy transition.”
Mr Stanton added: “It’s great to be part of the growing energy, resources and infrastructure team at Clayton Utz.
“I’m excited about developments in the offshore wind industry and the opportunities for clients presented by the decarbonisation of mining, demand for green minerals, grid and storage infrastructure, and the coupling of Australia’s renewable energy resource with hydrogen production and export. M&A opportunities are also rising as traditional energy players seek to transition.”
