Legal tech company Mary Technology has launched a new industry event, bringing together law firms and legal tech leaders to discuss the future of legal technology.
MaryCon: The Legal Tech Social, an event hosted by Mary Technology, is set to take place soon.
With over 100 lawyers expected to attend, MaryCon promises to deliver an engaging and intimate setting, with a focus on authenticity, connection, and real-world innovation.
The event will deliver high-quality conversations about the challenges and opportunities facing legal teams as they adopt AI and emerging technologies. With an emphasis on openness, transparency, and practical learning, MaryCon will give attendees the chance to connect meaningfully with industry leaders and shape the next chapter of legal transformation.
One of the key highlights of the event will be a keynote presentation from the founder and CEO of Mary Technology, Daniel Lord-Doyle, who will delve into the Fact Management System (FMS) and the future of legal tech and AI.
Mary Technology officially launched its Fact Management System (FMS) into the legal profession earlier this year, a new legal tech category addressing “fact chaos”. In July, the provider launched a new automation feature within the system.
Mary Technology said that MaryCon “isn’t just another industry event” and will spotlight “the innovation, collaboration, and transformation underway in the legal sector across Australia, New Zealand, and the broader region”.
“With the growing need for tech-driven efficiency and transparency in legal services, MaryCon arrives at a critical moment to bridge tradition with the future,” the provider said.
“What makes MaryCon different is its authenticity and intentionality. It’s designed for high-quality conversation and meaningful engagement. At its core, the event is about creating a shared movement toward purposeful innovation. If you’re evaluating legal AI and tech tools or want to learn how others have operationalised them, MaryCon is a must-attend.”
MaryCon will also feature a live customer case study from Bowes Legal founder, director, and principal lawyer Jane Bowes, who was named Litigation Partner of the Year at the most recent Partner of the Year Awards.
Also on the agenda is a panel discussion featuring legal tech providers Lawpath, Clio, and Smokeball, which are all key sponsors of the event.
Speaking about the upcoming event, Lord-Doyle said MaryCon would be a great chance for the provider to give the profession key updates.
“We’re excited to get everyone in the same room at MaryCon and show what we’ve been building – and what the future looks like. Lawyers don’t need more noise or complexity; they need tech that works the way they do,” he said.
“That’s what we’ve built: AI that’s simple, powerful, and actually changes the game.”
For lawyers evaluating AI tools, seeking to learn from their peers, or looking to lead transformation in their firms, MaryCon is a front-row seat to conversations shaping the future of the profession, with attendees set to walk away informed and empowered.
MaryCon will be held in Sydney CBD on Wednesday, 13 August, from 6:30pm.
