National law firm Keypoint Law has appointed a new consulting principal, Nick Karolidis (pictured), to its tax and property team in Melbourne.
Karolidis has served SMEs and individuals, merging his skills as a lawyer and accountant to advise on commercial matters such as tax law, property transactions, and structuring.
Keypoint Law CEO Warren Kalinko said: “Nick’s appointment further strengthens the integration of our national firm and the opportunities for collaboration amongst more than 80 senior lawyers across 25 practice areas – broadening the services available to his clients while giving the firm’s clients greater access to his specialist expertise.”
Upon his appointment, Karolidis said: “Keypoint provides the best of both worlds for lawyers via their unique model and will deliver added value to my clients. I’m looking forward to this exciting opportunity!”
He formerly advised for KPMG on multibillion-dollar transactions across various industries and has had more than 15 years of expertise in tax and property law, business structuring and commercial contracts.
Over 10 years, he has amassed positive online feedback from more than 130 of his clients – “a reflection of his dedication to delivering exceptional service, trusted advice and lasting client relationships” – the firm said.
“I have always been interested in tech and ‘doing things differently’, Keypoint is doing just that!” Karolidis said.
Kalinko said: “It’s a win-win.”
Karolidis explained: “The traditional law firm model is outdated, and boutique practice misses out on the ‘efficiencies of scale’ and expertise of having a larger team.”
This news follows Kalinko’s reflection of the firm’s decade of growth, in November, its appointment of a former Piper Alderman partner as its consulting principal in Adelaide last month, its appointment of a former head of McCabes’ financial services advisory practice as consulting principal in Sydney in May, and its appointment of a commercial litigation principal in Brisbane in June last year,
