The president of the Australian Restructuring Insolvency & Turnaround Association has joined Keypoint Law.
Mike Hayes, president of the Australian Restructuring Insolvency & Turnaround Association (ARITA), has been appointed a consulting principal in Keypoint Law’s Adelaide offices.
The industry leader has demonstrated his deep technical expertise and role in shaping national policy and practice.
Hayes joined from Piper Alderman, where he was a partner for nine years and acted in high-profile and complex insolvency matters across multiple jurisdictions.
Commenting on the appointment, CEO Warren Kalinko said Hayes was a “standout” in insolvency.
“His technical ability, market reputation and leadership credentials are exceptional,” Kalinko said.
“His joining further bolsters our already strong insolvency and litigation practice, and we are delighted to welcome him to the firm.”
Hayes is nationally recognised in the commercial litigation and dispute resolution space, with a particular focus on insolvency, recoveries and restructuring.
In addition to advising liquidators, receivers and trustees across Australia on all aspects of personal and corporate insolvency, Hayes has represented company directors defending insolvent trading claims and creditors in voidable transaction disputes.
