Bartier Perry has strengthened its legal capabilities with the addition of a five-strong commercial disputes team, joining from mid-tier firm Hicksons | Hunt & Hunt and Holman Webb Lawyers.

The team joining the BigLaw firm includes partners Adam Henderson and Chloe Ellis, along with three other lawyers, Chris Moore, Tayah Stevenson, and Rahui Eruera (all pictured).

These appointments mark a significant expansion for the firm, representing the fifth and sixth partners to join the BigLaw firm in the past four months.

Bartier Perry CEO Riana Steyn described the team’s arrival as “strategic, client-led growth”, emphasising that the partners bring deep expertise and strong cultural alignment as the firm continues to broaden its service offering.

“This is strategic, client-led growth with the firm continuing to broaden its service offering,” Steyn said.

“Adam and Chloe not only bring extensive experience in their respective areas of law but also strong alignment with Bartier Perry from a cultural, professional and client perspective.”

Chloe Ellis will join the firm’s commercial disputes team, advising on a broad range of matters, including construction, property, and consumer disputes, while bringing specialist expertise in regulatory and professional disciplinary issues.

Joining Ellis in the disputes team are two lawyers from Hicksons | Hunt & Hunt and Holman Webb Lawyers, with Chris Moore coming on as a consultant and Tayah Stevenson joining as a senior associate.

Adam Henderson will join the corporate and commercial team, advising on corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings, and government-related work, alongside Rahui Eruera as a lawyer.

This news follows the promotion of three to partner and six to senior associate towards the end of 2025, and the addition of an experienced superannuation and financial services specialist as a partner in the middle of October.
