The former chief people officer (CPO) and executive director at Court Services Victoria has joined national plaintiff firm Slater & Gordon as its new CPO.
Tina Parras (pictured) has joined Slater & Gordon as its new chief people officer and will officially start in the role on 27 April.
Prior to joining the national firm, Parras served as CPO and executive director at Court Services Victoria, leading people strategy and driving organisational reform across Victoria’s court system.
She brings more than 25 years of experience to Slater & Gordon, with a background in senior leadership roles across the public sector, including positions in state and local government.
In a statement, the national law firm expressed that throughout her career, Parras focused on leadership development, organisational capability, and workplace reform, with an emphasis on improving performance in demanding operational settings.
Dina Tutungi, CEO at Slater & Gordon, praised Parras’ proven ability to build leadership capability and strengthen teams, noting her experience aligns closely with the firm’s ongoing focus on growth and organisational strength.
“Tina’s experience and track record of building leadership capability aligns strongly with our focus as we continue to strengthen the firm,” Tutungi said.
“She has spent her career building the capability of teams and organisations operating in complex, high-pressure environments, and she understands what it takes to support people who do demanding, client-facing work.
“Investing in our people and their development is something we see as central in delivering better outcomes for our clients. Tina will play a significant role in supporting our people to do their best work.”
Speaking about her incoming role, Parras shared that she is eager to support Slater & Gordon’s people and strengthen its teams, noting that providing better access to legal support depends on a strong and capable workforce.
“Slater & Gordon exists to give people better access to legal support at some of the most difficult moments of their lives, and delivering for them depends on having strong, capable teams,” Parras said.
“I’m looking forward to contributing to this work and supporting everyone at Slater & Gordon as the firm continues to invest in its people.”
