Global legal agentic AI platform Legora is expanding further into APAC, opening offices in both Singapore and Tokyo, furthering its reach regionally on top of its Sydney presence.
Legora’s broadened presence across the Asia-Pacific region, the provider said in a statement, establishes it across the “full breadth” of the region.
The news follows the rollout of Legora firmwide by BigLaw player HWL Ebsworth, as reported earlier this week, as well as its acquisition of Melbourne-based start-up Graceview and extended Series D funding, as reported earlier this month.
APAC conditions, including M&A volumes in Japan, Singapore’s position as the arbitration and deal hub of the region, and a legal services market that rivals the EU in scale, make the moment “right to commit fully”, Legora chief executive and co-founder Max Junestrand said.
“We see a significant opportunity, and we intend to lead in it,” Junestrand said.
Legora entered Sydney in 2025. Its expansion to Singapore and Tokyo responds directly to demand from existing customers with operations across APAC, the provider said, as well as from firms and legal teams for whom the region represents a primary or growing focus.
The opening of offices in these cities, Legora APAC vice president of revenue Heather Paterson noted, was a deliberate choice.
“APAC’s combined legal services fee pool rivals that of the EU, and the cross-border deal and disputes work that flows between this region and EMEA and the US runs through corridors Legora already covers. For the first time, we can say we’re truly global in the way our clients are,” she said.
Japan is one of the world’s largest legal services markets by revenue, and Singapore serves as the regional headquarters for most Magic Circle and leading US firms operating in APAC.
