AI platform Legora will soon be rolled out to the more than 1,900 lawyers and staff employed by HWLE Lawyers.
Following a rigorous and controlled pilot program, BigLaw firm HWLE Lawyers said it will move ahead with a firmwide rollout of artificial intelligence platform Legora from July.
“This partnership is an exciting step forward in building on that growth to realise the full potential of the firm.”
Along with Legora, HWLE Lawyers has planned to roll out a comprehensive governance framework, which includes ongoing compliance training and an AI governance committee.
The firm said it would be empowering its practitioners with dedicated time and resources to enable them to develop depth of expertise and drive national collaboration and engagement.
Simon Hill, head of digital intelligence at HWLE Lawyers, said: “Rolling out Legora firmwide will give our lawyers better ways to deliver value for clients, while its agentic capabilities will assist in future-proofing the firm for the next generation of legal practice.”
The announcement is part of Legora’s continued expansion in the Australian market, where it is already being used by MinterEllison, Allens, Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer, K&L Gates Australia, White & Case, Dentons Australia, Hamilton Locke, Baker McKenzie, Pinsent Masons, and more.
“HWLE’s selection of Legora is a significant moment for us in the region,” Heather Paterson, vice president of Legora APJ, said.
“Partnering with the largest law firm in Australia by partner numbers reflects the momentum we are seeing across the market, and we are proud to support HWLE lawyers as it enters its next phase.
“We look forward to working alongside the firm’s lawyers to embed Legora into legal workflows and help deliver value for their clients.”
