Gilshenan & Luton Lawyers has promoted lawyer Emario Welgampola to the role of associate. He practises in family law, with experience in Sri Lanka, the UK and Australia. The firm said Welgampola had been recently called on to give his expert opinion on the international custody issue of Manny Musu by press and broadcast media.

 
 

Heather Gray has been appointed as a partner in the superannuation & financial services group of Holding Redlich. Gray, who is a former partner of Allens Arthur Robinson, will work with Gary Riordan servicing the firm’s fund clients. Alex Milner has been appointed to the firm’s property, environment & construction group in Melbourne as a senior associate along with lawyers Kate George and Marcus Cutchey.

Johnson Winter & Slattery has made four appointments in its Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide offices. Karina Marcar is now a partner and Richard St John a special counsel in the firm’s corporate section. Andrew Baggio has been appointed as a senior associate in the banking & financial services division and Michael Seifried has been made an associate.
