AMP Group Finance Services Limited has successfully raised $296 million from the issue of new securities called AMP Notes.

Mallesons advised AMP on the note terms as well as the implementation of the offer, including preparation of the prospectus.

The Mallesons Stephen Jaques team advising AMP included lead partner Evie Bruce and partners Greg Golding, Greg Hammond and Justin Cherrington.

The offer, which closed on Friday, 9 April, was one of the first listed retail debt issues to be undertaken in recent times.

Approximately $202 million in Australian notes and NZ $115 million in NZ notes was raised in the sale.

The offer involved two separate series - Australian dollar-denominated notes and NZ dollar-denominated notes under the new trans-Tasman mutual recognition scheme, which allows issuers to offer notes in New Zealand using an Australian prospectus.
