The two-year negotiations, which wrapped up in late December, also required the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission to approve the plans, which are expected to see a significant expansion of the Hunter Valley coal export industry through 2010.
Competition partner Dave Poddar led the negations for PWCS with senior associate Wayne Leach. Poddar said in a statement that his work revolved around working with the Government and the Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group (NCIG), while also advising PWCS on competition issues.
