Blakiston & Crabb has acted for Aurora, an ASX-listed oil & gas producer and explorer, which has announced a $120 million underwritten equity raising via a two tranche offering of 75 million securities.

The two tranches consist of 68.5 million ordinary shares at $1.60 per share and 6.4 million special warrants at $CAD1.60 ($1.62) per special warrant to institutional and sophisticated investors.
The placement, underwritten by Blake Dawson client Euroz Securities Limited (Australia), is to fund Aurora's acquisition of additional working interests across the three areas of mutual interest in which it currently participates, namely Longhorn, Ipanema and Sugarloaf, and a fourth adjacent area known as Excelsior in Texas, USA, for $US120 million cash ($121.7 million).
Roger Davies and Chadwick Poletti acted for Blakes, while Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg acted as US legal counsel for Aurora and Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP acted as legal counsel to North American underwriters.
