Henry Davis York and Advent Lawyers have advised on the acquisition of Australia's Footytips by ESPN.

The multinational sports media company, ESPN International acquired ExtraCorpPty Ltd, the owners and operators of Australia's largest sports tipping and fantasy games platform, Footytips.
HDY acted for ESPN while Advent represented ExtraCorp.
"This acquisition significantly raises the profile of ESPN in Australia as a leading digital sports publisher," said Geoffrey Hilton, lead partner on the deal.
Hilton was assisted by HDY partners Ben Mortimer and Vanessa Andersen, senior associates Stephen Iu and Penny Karvouniaris and lawyer Jasmine Luczak.
