A UK law student, with perhaps too much time on his hands, has come up with a new iPhone application for lawyers that allows users to access the current text of all UK legislation.

According to rollonfriday.com, this handy application was developed over three months by Timothy Leigh in his spare time.

The application - iLegal Legislation - was officially launched last week and is available for the iPhone, iPod Touch and the new iPad.

Although potentially very useful for those looking up legislation on the run or those who like to read acts and regulations to pass the time, this application doesn't come cheap.

Rollonfriday.com says the entrepreneur's application costs £20 ($33) and will apparently double to £40 ($66) in May.

Luckily, rollonfriday.com was able to snare five free copies.
