As if getting through customs in Australia wasn't (ahem) hard enough, now dedicated porn-o-philes are set for an even harder time thanks to confusion over exactly what sort of porn they're allowed to bring into the country.

As reported in the Sydney Morning Herald, the fact that many travellers seem to be unsure about what kind of porn they're allowed to import has led to a re-working of incoming passenger cards.

Home Affairs Minister Brendan O'Connor said he had made a request that the wording on incoming passenger declaration cards be changed.

"The previous card stated that travellers needed to disclose any 'pornography' they were carrying," said O'Connor.

"That has now been amended to read 'illegal pornography'."

Unfortunately, the change in lingo doesn't really clarify the issue for many people, and the Minister's advice is that travellers take precautions and flash their stash to the long-suffering customs officials, just in case.

"My advice to travellers is that if you're in doubt - find out," said O'Connor.

"Customs officers operate with discretion and the penalties for failing to declare a prohibited import are steep."

Just remember to wave to your grandma when being filmed by Border Security.
