A quick-thinking thief attempted to avoid arrest in Wisconsin this week after being confronted by police after an alleged shoplifting spree by stripping to her underwear.

The woman, Julia Laack, allegedly stole some beef jerky and a lighter from a convenience store in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, reports Metro.co.uk.

When police arrived at her home to charge her she allegedly began removing her clothing, reasoning - somehow - that "You can't arrest me as I am going to be naked now."

Police begged to differ and attempted to detain the scantily clad miscreant. She then allegedly kicked one of the nice officers in the groin. As she was taken in the squad car to the station she then allegedly mooned from the vehicle's back window.

Jerky? Folklaw thinks the officers involved could have thought of a stronger description of her than that!
