Close to 100 members of the legal profession in WA are expected to don runners tomorrow (10 November) to raise money for the chief justice’s Law Week Youth Appeal Trust.

The Law Society of Western Australia is again hosting the annual Lawyers for a Cause charity sporting event.

Lawyers will take part in a 5km walk, 10km run or 40km cycle along the Swan River in Perth.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for members of the profession to get out of the office and raise much-needed funds" said Dr Christopher Kendall, WA’s Law Society president.

“Lawyers for a Cause is a unique event, challenging lawyers to lead a healthy lifestyle while helping raise funds for the chief justice's Law Week Youth Appeal Trust.”

Individual participants ($100 registration) and teams of up to six ($500 registration) will have the choice to take part in the bike ride, run or walk, followed by a networking brunch at the Royal Perth Yacht Club. Lawyers for a Cause is proudly supported by premium sponsor Bradley Bayly Legal and supporting sponsors Marsh and Clayton Utz.
