IN a coup for Corrs Chambers Westgarth, a financial services expert has handed the firm an insider's view of Australia's future in that area.

The Minister for Financial Services, Superannuation and Corporate Law, and the Minister for Human Services, the Hon Chris Bowen, spoke at the firm's client forum in Sydney last Friday, where he talked about the future of the financial services and corporate regulation in Australia.

The Minister spoke about Australia’s ambition to become a regional financial services hub, the work already done in moving towards this goal and the work currently underway. The Minister also provided a sense of the changing superannuation landscape, as well as a range of corporate reforms the government is currently undertaking.

The Minister’s address was broadcast nationwide to more than 130 of Corrs' financial services clients.
