National plaintiff litigation law firm Shine Lawyers has this week opened a fourth office on the Sunshine Coast.

NATIONAL plaintiff litigation law firm Shine Lawyers has this week opened a fourth office on the Sunshine Coast.

The new law firm in Caloundra is the result of a merger with local practice AB Law.

Shine Lawyers is the firm that scooped film-famous litigator Erin Brockovich for the past two years as she helped the firm investigate cases in Australia. Brockovich has since secured a position as a consultant with the firm.

The AB Law premises at 74 Bulcock Street has been re-branded as a branch of Shine Lawyers, and has just opened to local litigants.

“The Caloundra branch is in its early stages and so far we have had a great response from the local communities,” Melinda Moseling, who heads the new office, said.

“I am thrilled to be a part of this new venture and to be able to offer expert legal advice to the residents of Caloundra and the surrounding areas,” said Moseling.

Shine Lawyers executive director Stephen Roche said clients appreciate the firm’s proximity to local communities, which he said gives the firm an advantage over larger national firms.

“At a time where our competitors are centralising operations, we’re finding people really appreciate a different approach. Our model is to have a presence at a grass roots level, by placing expert lawyers into local areas,” Mr Roche said.

Erin Brockovich features in the Shine Lawyers television commercial that is currently being seen on screens on the Sunshine Coast.

In the ad, Brockovich highlights the never-say-die attitude of the firm, which in her words are the “bulldogs of the industry” that “won’t shy away from a fight”.
