Currently the head of the firm’s national revenue division, Mark Green will take over from Brian Jamieson, who has held the position for the past three years, on 31 December.

“Mark has an astute understanding of how to service client needs at the highest level and how good business operates,” said Minters chief executive Guy Templeton.

Minters said Green was considered one of Australia’s leading advisers on tax and related structuring issues. He was a lead partner in last year’s “landmark” Singapore Power/TXU deal, and will continue to practise during his time as managing partner.

Templeton said Jamieson had made a significant contribution to the Melbourne office. “When Brian joined us from KPMG, he brought a strong background in developing and moulding a large professional services firm into a top-tier practice.”

He said the firm acknowledges and thanks Jamieson “for the very important role he has played in building the Melbourne office and strengthening its ties into the corporate community”.
