Law Council of Australia (LCA) president Stephen Southwood QC will announce the winners of the 2004 awards in Canberra this week, based on young lawyers’ success in three areas: professional issues, community issues and individual contributions to the profession or the community.
This year’s judging panel comprises the Hon Chief Justice Terence Higgins, Supreme Court of the ACT, Tim Bugg, LCA executive, and Radhika Kanhai, chair of the LCA’s Australian Young Lawyers’ Committee.
To be held in conjunction with the National Golden Gavel Awards, the Awards will take place at the National Museum of Australia.
