The Victorian Government has announced it will continue funding the pilot Goulburn Valley Community Legal Centre, established by Clayton Utz Foundation Fellow Joanne Ellis, for another 12 months.

Since July 2009, the Clayton Utz Foundation has provided funding for Ellis at Loddon Campaspe Community Legal Centre, who established a pilot community legal service based in Shepparton.
Since setting up the pilot, which assisted 364 people in its first year, Ellis has highlighted the need for a permanent community legal centre to service the 160,000 people in the region.
"The fight isn't over by a long shot but this is a real foot in the door and the beginning of great things for permanent community legal services in the Goulburn Valley," said principal solicitor, Loddon Campaspe Community Legal Centre, Peter Noble.
