Maryam Minai joins the firm from Caydon Property Group, where she was the settlements and customer relations manager.

She has previously worked in-house at Australia Post and as a lawyer for King & Wood Mallesons and Norton Rose Fulbright.

Ms Minai brings more than 12 years of experience to her special counsel role, advising across real estate, construction, infrastructure projects and matters.

Head of the development practice and Maddocks partner Nick Holuigue said Ms Minai is an important addition to the team.

“In the past two years, the Maddocks development team has grown from two partners to five and has led the industry with a range of innovative client solutions such as Maddocks eContracts.”

“Maryam’s appointment is another signal to the property development market that we have the depth and breadth of experience to work on the full range of development projects in Australia,” Mr Holuigue said.

Note: A previous version of this article said senior counsel in the headline. This has been corrected to special counsel.
