Holding a bachelor of laws (honours) from the Australian National University and a master of museum studies from the University of Queensland, Ms Zhu has spent her legal career representing clients in the education, agricultural, manufacturing and IT industries in a range of intellectual property and technology disputes.
Commenting on the appointment, EAGLEGATE principal Nicole Murdoch said Ms Zhu enhances the wide-ranging expertise offered by the firm.
“Judy is trilingual – she grew up speaking English, Cantonese and Mandarin. She has significant experience in providing bilingual legal advice to international clients and welcomes any opportunity to leverage her language skills to assist clients in navigating the complexities of Australian law,” she said.
“She is also deeply passionate about the role of arts and culture in our society, and the protection of all forms of cultural heritage. She is a classically-trained pianist and music administrator and works as an Administrator with the Brisbane Symphony Orchestra.”
