Mid-tier firm Coleman Greig has bolstered its mediation offering, with two senior lawyers recently gaining accreditation.
Coleman Greig principal lawyer Andrew Banna and senior associate Nicole Stevens have both recently been accredited as family law mediators, expanding their expertise in alternative dispute resolution.
With growing interest in out-of-court resolution methods, the mid-tier firm noted that the accreditation of the two senior lawyers “supports the continued growth of Coleman Greig’s in-house mediation and arbitration services, offering clients faster, more cost-effective pathways to resolve family disputes”.
The pair joins a team of accredited practitioners at the firm and will work alongside Adam West (an accredited mediator and arbitrator) and Karina Ralston (an accredited arbitrator).
This news follows the firm’s appointment of a senior lawyer from Gilbert + Tobin as its new principal lawyer and head of the property services team at the end of July.
Speaking about the expanded service offering, Banna expressed his pride in being able to support families during some of the most significant moments in their lives.
“I’m proud to now offer mediation services to families navigating separation and parenting matters,” said Banna.
“Mediation is a productive and valuable approach. It allows families to resolve disputes in a calm and respectful environment, and I look forward to helping more clients achieve practical outcomes without the stress of going to court.”
Stevens echoed Banna’s sentiments, highlighting the empowering nature of mediation and the importance of facilitating that process.
“Mediation gives families a say in shaping their own future,” Stevens said.
“As a mediator, I help create a space where both parties feel heard and supported. It’s a more human and solution-focused approach that can lead to stronger long-term outcomes.”
