Mid-tier firm Coleman Greig Lawyers has appointed a senior lawyer from Gilbert + Tobin as its new principal lawyer and head of the property services team.
Chris Tohme (pictured) has rejoined Coleman Greig as principal lawyer and leader of the property services team, effective 1 July 2025, marking a homecoming to the firm where he previously worked from 2017 to 2018.
Prior to joining the mid-tier firm, Tohme spent over six years as a senior property lawyer at BigLaw firm Gilbert + Tobin.
During that time away from the firm, he also gained experience working as in-house counsel for GrainCorp and Boral.
In a statement, the firm emphasised his “extensive experience” advising corporate and government clients on complex property transactions, spanning a diverse range of matters, including acquisitions and disposals across residential, commercial, and agricultural sectors.
Speaking on his new role, Tohme said he was looking forward to returning to the firm and stepping into a leadership position.
“I’m thrilled to join Coleman Greig as principal and head of the property services team. Being Western Sydney’s leading law firm, Coleman Greig is steeped in history with a proud and respected brand and reputation. I look forward to working with our clients and assisting them with all their property needs,” Tohme said.
Coleman Greig CEO Ashley Lamb welcomed Tohme’s appointment, highlighting his proven track record in managing complex property transactions.
“Chris brings specialist property expertise and a proven ability to manage high-value, complex transactions,” Lamb said.
“His appointment strengthens our capability and reinforces our commitment to delivering excellent property services to our clients.”
