In a move to further strengthen its regional presence across Queensland, Creevey Horrell Lawyers has unveiled a new office in Chinchilla, located approximately 300 kilometres north-west of Brisbane.

Currently operating from four offices across Queensland – in Toowoomba, Brisbane, Townsville, and Roma – the criminal law firm explained that the move underscores its belief that the future of the business lies in expanding further into rural and regional communities.

This news follows the firm’s partnership with Brisbane-based firm McGinness & Associates in a strategic move to expand its crime and misconduct division and broaden its service offering across Queensland at the start of February.

Dan Creevey, principal of Creevey Horrell, explained that opening the firm’s fifth office in Chinchilla was driven by a clear commitment to increasing access to legal support while continuing to deliver the trusted expertise and hands-on community engagement regional Queenslanders rely on.

“Chinchilla has long been an important part of the Western Downs, and this new office reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting regional communities, not just through legal services, but by being present and engaged,” Creevey said.

“By establishing a permanent base in Chinchilla, we’re making it easier for clients to access legal support without the need to travel, while continuing to deliver the same trusted expertise and service our clients expect.”

Bringing over a decade of experience in the legal sector, particularly in property law, Renee Cahill will lead the firm’s new Chinchilla office.

Creevey shared how Cahill will bring a strong and reassuring presence to Chinchilla, complemented by visits from the firm’s wider legal team.

“Renee gives us a tremendous presence in Chinchilla, and she will be supported by visiting members of our legal team,” Creevey said.

Speaking about her new role, Cahill described it as an exciting step in her career and expressed pride in being able to contribute to the town both professionally and personally.

“Joining a large regional firm is an exciting step in my career, but doing so in Chinchilla makes it even more meaningful,” she said.

“My husband and I are raising our five children here, and the safe, close-knit nature of the community is something we deeply value. I’m proud to contribute to the town both professionally and personally.”
