In what seems to be a growing trend of celebrities taking up space in the courtroom, actress Demi Moore is en route to Melbourne to try out her witness testimonial credentials.

The Australian today (23 September) reported that Moore will take the witness stand in Melbourne next week in a four-day breach of copyright trial before Justice John Middleton.
Moore is suing New Idea's publisher, Seven Media's Pacific Magazines, for printing numerous photos snapped at a private Oscars party which she co-hosted with Madonna in February 2008.
The photos apparently depict herself, her daughter Rumer Willis, Orlando Bloom, P. Diddy, Amanda De Cadenet (whoever that is) and Cameron Diaz frolicking together and enjoying the post-party festivities.
Moore lodged the law suit in 2008, claiming New Idea breached her copyright by publishing the pictures on its cover and on two internal pages without her permission.
Moore claims she had spoken to the party organiser and an agreement was reached whereby she would pay for the photographs and thus be assigned copyright.
And sure enough, Moore will be putting in her two cents worth personally.
"We're moving to trial. She will be in court," said Moore's lawyer Stuart Gibson.
Folklaw wonders why Moore is making such a fuss, given that the not-so-camera shy celeb often puts near-naked photos of herself on Twitter for all the world to see. Must be the principle of the thing.
