Former DLA Piper superannuation partner Heather Gray moved to the partnership of Hall & Wilcox today (July 22), along with her team
Gray has been appointed a partner in the Melbourne firm’s superannuation & financial services team, and brings with her former DLA colleagues Andrew Fairley, Jodi Preston and Lalitha Visuasam.
Fairley has been appointed a consultant, Preston has been appointed special counsel and Visuasam has been appointed senior associate.
Gray has more than 25 years’ experience in superannuation, financial services and trusts, and was previously a partner at Holding Redlich and Allens.
She joins superannuation partner Pamela McAlister and newly appointed partner Adrian Verdnik at Hall & Wilcox. Collectively, they represent some of Australia’s largest industry, public offer and corporate funds and have worked on numerous significant transactions in the sector.
Hall & Wilcox managing partner Tony Macvean said the combined team positions the firm as an industry leader in the superannuation sector.
“Our ability to attract senior lawyer appointments like these just continues to reflect the appeal of the firm’s positioning and value proposition,” said Macvean.
Gray said she decided to join Hall & Wilcox because of the firm’s strategic focus on the funds and financial services sector, the firm’s suitability for her clients, the firm’s culture and its shared vision for her practice’s future.
She said: “The firm has a strong focus on superannuation and we are all looking forward to working alongside Pam, Adrian and the others. I believe our collective experience will really add value for our mutual clients.”
