Chris Freeland has been re-elected as the managing partner of Baker & McKenzie for another three-year term.
The Bakers partnership has voted in favour of Freeland (pictured) remaining at the helm of the firm until 2017. He was originally appointed as Australian managing partner in late 2010.

Bakers told Lawyers Weekly that the firm’s Management Committee recommended Freeland’s reappointment, with no other contenders for the top job.
Lawyers Weekly exclusively revealed in April that Bakers is set to open a Brisbane office, poaching a Clayton Utz partner and an Allens partner to spearhead the launch.
Freeland was also instrumental in the release of a landmark study by the Law Council of Australia, which found that women lawyers face significant levels of discrimination.
The firm recently set an aspirational target to have women make up 30 per cent of its global leaders.
Bakers has 82 partners and 553 staff in Australia.
