THE PROPERTY and funds divisions of Henry Davis York have been bolstered with the appointment of Nikki Bentley and Andrew Steele to the firm’s partnership.

Bentley has taken up her position as partner in the funds management group. She regularly advises fund managers, product issuers and service providers on all aspects of their businesses, from product development and structuring, distribution, licensing and legal compliance across the funds management product range including alternative investments.

New partner Steele has been attached to the property and environmental planning group. He has extensive expertise in commercial property transactions, principally dealing with institutional and funds management clients. Working across a range of asset classes including industrial, commercial and hotels and tourism, Steele recently advised on major transactions for clients such as Eureka Funds Management, Macquarie Goodman and Aspen Funds Management.

“[Bentley] and [Steele’s] appointment provides additional partner depth to meet our clients’ diverse legal needs in two of HDY’s rapidly growing practice areas,” the chairman of partners, Geoffrey Hilton, said.

“These internal promotions highlight HDY’s commitment to maintaining an organic growth strategy, showing that the firm is serious about providing its lawyers with a clearly defined career path.”
