BigLaw firm King & Spalding has poached an experienced health lawyer from Thomson Geer to join its partnership in Sydney.
King & Spalding has announced the appointment of life sciences, regulatory and litigation lawyer Mandi Jacobson as a partner in its government matters and regulation practice group in Sydney.
Jacobson’s practice involves providing strategic counsel to multinational entities in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, and consumer goods industries regarding varied contentious, compliance, and regulatory issues.
Her expertise extends to assisting global corporations in navigating intricate regulatory landscapes and mitigating of multijurisdictional risk.
Additionally, she acts for clients in sophisticated litigation matters, spanning product liability, regulatory enforcement, investigations, and coronial inquests, as well as class action defence.
Jacobson becomes the latest addition to King & Spalding’s Sydney office, which opened in October with the aim of being a pathway to the firm’s unified cross-practice capabilities around the globe for multinational clients conducting business in the Asia-Pacific region.
King & Spalding has 1,300 lawyers in 26 offices in the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific, and has handled matters in over 160 countries on six continents.
Darren Gardner, the managing partner of the Sydney office, spoke about Jacobson’s wealth of experience and how it will benefit the team at King & Spalding.
